Wigan agree fee for Maloney

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan revealed on Tuesday that the club were in talks with Celtic regarding a deal for the former Aston Villa man.

Bolton have Ngog bid accepted

Harry: No last-minute Luka exit

The Croatia midfielder has been the subject of firm interest from Chelsea this summer and there had been suggestions the deal could be revived before the summer window closes at 11pm.

But Redknapp said he was “one million per cent” convinced that chairman Daniel Levy would not sell Modric.

Levy has been adamant that Modric will not be allowed to leave White Hart Lane, and even though the 25-year-old asked not to play in Sunday’s clash with Manchester City, according to Redknapp, the club’s stance remains the same.

Redknapp promised Modric would not be on the move.
